Ryan J Cross

Born December 18, 1986 in Arlington, Texas to Paul and Sherri (Owen) Cross, Jr., he married Jessica Yaunk on November 7, 2015 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Sherri (Erich) Smith of Peoria; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Barbara Owen of Arkansas; one half-sister, Olivia Smith of Iowa City, Iowa; two aunts, Ina Burnside of Pekin and Angie (Andre) Petty of Peoria; one uncle, Mike (Jill) Owen of Peoria; his in-laws, John and Brenda Yaunk of East Peoria and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Cross, Jr. and his paternal grandparents, Paul and Maria Cross, Sr.

Ryan worked as a technology administrator at ANBC in Pekin for 16 years.

He will be remembered for his acerbic, sharp-witted humor and will be missed by many. He was an amazing artist and loved to draw, he enjoyed playing board games and video games and going out for pizza at his favorite restaurant, Hoops in Peoria.

His memorial visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no service.
