Born January 12, 1964 in Brookfield to Robert Eugene and Lois Joy (Dobson) Mull, he married Karen Jo Miller on February 16, 1991 in Pekin.
Surviving is his wife of 33 years; his mother, Lois Mull of Metamora; one sister Renee (Ross) Schultz of McHenry; one niece, Katie (Steve) Cooper of McHenry; one nephew, Daniel Schultz of McHenry and two great-nieces, Tessa Joy and Emily Grace.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Rob was a graduate of Lake Zurich High School where he was a standout track athlete. His school record still stands in the 400 meter run. He received a full ride track scholarship to Illinois State University and was Missouri Valley Conference champion in the 400 meters.
He worked at Hallmark Cards in Metamora beginning June 20, 1994 as a technical designer, last working Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
An avid outdoorsman, Rob enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and golfing. He also enjoyed collecting root beer bottles and T-shirts from restaurants he visited with his wife.
