Born March 10, 1938 in Middletown to Charles Leslie and Mable (Noon) Henry, he married Joan Guilfoyle on January 23, 1960 at Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Edward Robert Henry of Wilton Manors, Florida, Mary Ann Henry of Acworth, Georgia and Frank Howard Henry of Miami, Florida; four grandchildren, Leslie Parker, Kyle Parker, Lucas Henry and PJ Machado; and one sister, Phyllis Davis of Sandwich.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lois Dietsche; and five brothers, Roy Henry, Charles Henry, William Henry, Darrell Henry, and Warren Henry.
Robert worked for many years at Pabst Brewing Company and Budweiser Brewing. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 1149 and Local 770.
He was a member of the Creve Coeur Lions Club and the Village of Creve Coeur Zoning Board. Robert was also actively involved in Habitat for Humanity for over 10 years. In his free time, he was an avid NASCAR fan.
He was a long-time member of Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur.
His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Father John Steffen will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
