Robert Howard Byrd

He was born September 14, 1981 to Robert Byrd and Christina Byron.

Surviving are his mother, Christina Byron of Pekin; his father and stepmother, Robert (Peggy) Byrd of Phoenix, Arizona; two children, Liliana Applegate of Chillicothe and Robert Byrd, Jr. of Pekin; his fiancé, Sarah Johnson of Pekin; one brother, Johnathon Byrd of Phoenix, Arizona; one aunt, Connie (Russell) Madison of Phoenix, Arizona and two uncles, Terry (Lou Ann) Robinson and Jeff Byrd, both of Phoenix, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Robert worked as a metalworker at Tazewell Machine Works, Inc. in Pekin. A jack-of-all-trades, he worked in many other professions, including plumbing, which he enjoyed.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and bowling. He also loved spending quality time and picking on his son, Bobby.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be a celebration of Roberts’s life at a later date.
