Born October 19, 1942 in Peoria to Howard and Margaret (Bunger) Robbins, he married Nadine Tharp on October 19, 1963 in Kingston Mines.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years; one daughter, Becky (Ross) Williamson of Glasford; two sons, Doug (Kim) Robbins of Green Valley and Brian (LeeAnne) Robbins of Marquette Heights; three granddaughters, Paige (Lucas Reinbeck) Robbins of Dillon, Kari (Craig) Blunier of Eureka and Brilee Robbins of Pekin; three grandsons, Drake (Haven) Hart of Pekin, Robert (Laura) Williamson of Bartonville and Bradie Robbins of Alaska and eight great-grandchildren, Ethan Curtis, Aubrey Smith, Elisa Hart, Lennon Hart, Crue Hart, Savannah Williamson, Charleigh Hart and Blaine Reinbeck.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earl Robbins and Dale Robbins and one sister, Ethel Wolfe.
Bob had worked as a crane operator at Keystone Wire & Steel Co. in Bartonville for 42 years before retiring in 2008.
He enjoyed working in his yard and spending quality time with his family.
Bob was a long time member of Kingston Mines United Methodist Church.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Kingston Mines United Methodist Church. Pastor Erin Totten-Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Additional visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning at the church. Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford.
