Born on December 19, 1955 in Peoria to Richard Lawrence and Bonnie (Price) Little, he was a lifetime Tazewell County resident. He married Linda Tromp on June 13, 1981 in Minier. She died on March 25, 2002. He later married Melody L. Snow on November 10, 2007 in Groveland. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Amanda (Gregg) Jones of Houston, Texas; three sons, Jon (Amy Sullivan) Little of Green Valley, Justin Little and Gavin Little, both of Marquette Heights; one step-daughter, Mary Connor of Peoria; eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eddie Little and one sister, Teri Little Smith.
Rich worked as a millwright at ADM in Peoria and retired with 33 years of service. He previously owned and operated the Dairy Barn in Peoria.
He was a loving husband, proud father and exceptional grandfather. Rich was a huge man with an even bigger heart and personality. He was a father who lived for his family and grandkids. He was always up to date on the town gossip and will be forever known as the world’s worst secret keeper. He will be beloved, missed and remembered by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. His family are all thankful for the time they had with him until they meet again.
His memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no funeral service. Cremation will be accorded.
