Born October 21, 1954 in Peoria to Kenneth and Virginia (Kochendorfer) Duttarer, she married Robert Dalcher on August 20, 1977 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years; her mother, Virginia Duttarer of Parrish, Florida; two children, Joshua (Tasha) Dalcher of Thornton, Colorado and Ainsley (Justin) Reeise of Pekin; ten grandchildren, Eve, Benedict, Blaise, Addison, Ethan, Mia, Maggie, Elijah, Henry and Justin, Jr.; two siblings, Daniel (Kathy) Duttarer of Parrish, Florida and Patricia (Tom) Tingle of Linwood, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth; granddaughter, Zelie and one sister, Gail Dutter-Lenart.
Pam worked as a paraprofessional for Pekin Public Schools District 108 for 31 years, before retiring in 2016. She also was a Longaberger Basket consultant for 25-plus years.
Following retirement, Pam became a member of the Chapter AS of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
A loving and dedicated wife, daughter, mom and nana, Pam enjoyed gardening, decorating, taking wildlife photos and playing Euchre, Pinochle and Pitch. She had an amazing artistic ability and loved a good art craft. Her greatest enjoyment was watching her grandchildren perform.
Pam was an active member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Her funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2024 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with recitation of the Rosary beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, hardback children’s books may be brought to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory during the visitation and the days following. The family will be donating these books to L.E. Starke Primary School.
Memorial contributions may be also given to the family to create “Mrs. Dalcher’s Book Fairy Fund” to provide book fair money to children in need.
