Born March 18, 1924 in Big Springs, NE to August and Stella (Docken) Bogenhagen. They preceded him in death along with three brothers, Harlon, Leslie, and Joyce. He married Sylvia E. Anderson in Goodland, KS on April 9, 1945. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Edith (Glenn) Brown of Lake Camelot, Dennis of Hanna City, Bette Ann (Tom Farris) Culjan of Dunlap; five grandchildren, Tana Brown, Jeff Brown, Rachael Neel, Deenna Clark, and Lindsey Almand; 13 great grandchildren; and one brother, LeWayne of Omaha, NE.
Orville started working at Caterpillar Inc. in 1952, retiring in 1982 after 30 years of service.
In 1980 he attended a Billy Graham Crusade in Denver, CO and accepted the Lord. He was a member of the Bartonville Community Bible Church where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He also served in Prison Ministry at the Pekin City Jail for several years.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011 at the Bartonville Community Bible Church at 3826 S. Chalmers Ave. in Bartonville with Rev. Chase Fisher officiating. Visitation will be from Noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Davison-Fulton-Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
