Krista M Pier

Born August 21, 1974 in Covington, Kentucky to Dave and Debbie (Schlarman) Blanchet, she married Stephan Pier on May 7, 2009 in Kentucky. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents of Independence, Kentucky; two brothers, Tim (Christa) Blanchet of Dry Ridge, Kentucky and Dave Blanchet of Fort Thomas, Kentucky; one sister, Kerri (Ryan) Richardson of Florence, Kentucky; and one step-son, Micah Sweeney of Washington.

She attended Victory Church in Bloomington, Illinois.

Krista was employed by Hollywood Casinos in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for twenty years, retiring in 2018.

She enjoyed being a part of the effort to rescue bully breed dogs and cherished her two rescued pit bulls. She also enjoyed doing crafts.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Chad Nightingale will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
