He was born in Peoria on February 8, 1960 to Elmer G. and Beverly J. (Mahany) Linden. His parents preceded him in death along with his grandparents.
Surviving are one brother, Kreg (Kim) Linden of North Pekin; one sister, Kim Szymke, wife of Dr. Thom Szymke, of Saint Louis, Missouri; one nephew, Gage Linden of Washington and one niece, Elizabeth (Bryan) Meyer of Saint Louis, Missouri.
Scott proudly served his country in the Illinois Air National Guard for 25 years as an aircraft mechanic.
Following his military service, Scott worked part-time as an officer with the Illinois Central College police department for 15 years, retiring in 2021.
Scott enjoyed all sports as well as cooking out, gardening, hunting and fishing.
A private inurnment will occur at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
