Born July 18, 1959 in Peoria to Neal and Patricia (Lee) Norman, she married Robert “Bob” Van Ness on March 17, 1980 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother; two children, Robert (Danaka) Van Ness of Creve Coeur and Megan (Randy) Kerby of Green Valley; 5 grandchildren, Wyat, Gavin, Brayleigh, Hunter, and Cole, two sisters, Sherrie (Johnny) Helems and Janet Powell; and one brother, Ed Norman.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Kathy enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, gambling and playing cards.
She was always the life of the party and always enjoyed having a good time.
A private family graveside will be held at a later date. A memorial gathering will be on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.at the Creve Coeur VFW Post #4835 located at 628 S Main St, Creve Coeur, IL. Arrangements were made by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Creve Coeur.
