Judith Ann Elmore

Born October 12, 1941 in Peoria to Edgar and Ruth (Herman) Wendt, she married Charles Elmore on March 8, 1959 in Havana.

Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Charles, of Manito; two daughters, Michelle Elmore of Sarasota, Florida and Melinda (Brian) Reeps of Pekin; two sons, Douglas Elmore of Little Rock, Arkansas and Steven (Haly) Elmore of Pekin; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marcella Mendenhall and one sister, Lila.

Judith had worked at Bergner’s in Pekin for 40 years before retiring.

She loved bird watching, gardening and cooking. She also loved spending quality time with her family during the holidays, especially Thanksgiving.

A private celebration of Judith’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
