Johnnie Lee Lovell

Born November 7, 1950 in Canton to Park and Eva (Lewis) Lovell, he married the love of his life, Barbara Voegele on July 17, 1971 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Steven Lovell of Peoria and Michael Lovell of Marquette Heights; one daughter, Melissa (Brandon) Winn of Pekin; two grandchildren, Parker and Molly Winn; and one brother, Ronnie (Carlene) Lovell of Canton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.

Johnnie worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 33 years as a maintenance mechanic retiring in 2003.

An avid fan of the St Louis Cardinals, Johnnie enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, collecting arrow heads, collecting coins and spending time with his family and his Boston Terriers. He loved his 1948 Anglia and had a passion for flying and metal working. He was an avid fan of the St Louis Cardinals.

A gathering celebrating Johnnie's life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Liberty Hall in Marquette Heights. A brief memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Inurnment will be held at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
