Janie Ruth Snow

Born March 8, 1946 in Marion, Kentucky to R. C. and Katie (Riley) Herron, she married Donald Lee Hudson on May 1, 1965 in Pekin. He died April 11, 1978. She later married Gordon M. Snow on July 19, 1994 in Pekin. He died August 4, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Glenda Hall.

Surviving are three daughters, Teresa (Duke) Sayles of Pekin, Tammy (Steve) Bushong of Peoria and Laura Adamski of Springfield; one son, Gordon (Beth) Snow of New Jersey; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Glenn Herron of Manito, Ronnie (Mary) Herron, Arnold (JoAnn) Herron, both of Texas and William “Bill” (Belva) Herron of Alabama; two sisters, Betty (Larry) Cooling of Texas and Tina (Brad) Sellers of Illinois.

Janie worked as an accounts payable specialist for 25 years at Morton Metalcraft, retiring in 2009.

She had a witty sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Inurnment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
