Gregory Greggor" Joseph Hunt

He was born September 30, 1950 in War Eagle, West Virginia to Sanford and Ruth (Birchfield) Hunt.

Surviving are his significant other, Sherry Lewis of Pekin; one daughter, Regina (Greg) Wilkinson of Pekin, one son, Josh (Ken) Hunt of Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren, Jake O’Farrell, Seth Burton, Riliegh Lewis, Jamie Bennett, Jordison Lewis, Jessa Swoik-Lewis, Sully Swoik-Lewis; two great grandchildren, Jack O’Farrell and Aiden Coombs; six siblings, Jack (Lynette) Hunt, John (Tina) Hunt, Linda Goodwin, all of Pekin, Samuel Hunt of Forest City, Victor (Amanda) Hunt of Tremont and Julie Gehrt of Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Patrick Hunt and Kenneth Hunt.

Greg worked as a Laborer for Laborer’s Local 231 in Pekin for 45 years before retiring in 2005.

An avid musician, he played many instruments but was most known for playing his banjo. He was deeply rooted in his religion and loved the Lord. He enjoyed target shooting, riding his motorcycle and taking his RZR off road.

Greg was a member of Mount Carmel Bible Church in North Pekin.

His memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
