Gary Kent Bitner

Gary “Kent” Bitner, 73 of Canton, formerly of Glasford, passed away at 2:04 a.m. Sunday November 1, 2020 at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing of Canton. He was born in Peoria on April 19, 1947, a son of Herschel J. and Irene M. (Bunger) Bitner, Jr.

Kent is survived by his mother of Pekin; uncle, John (Carole) Bunger of Pekin; aunt, Patsy Bunger of Glasford; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.

Kent worked as a security officer for many years. He loved to read about and study airplanes and anything related to military vehicles or armaments.

Kent’s graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Lancaster Cemetery in rural Glasford. There will be no visitation. Davison-Fulton-Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left for Kent’s family at www.davisonfultonwoolsey.com
