Erin Rebecca LeCrone

Born March 5, 1972 in Galesburg to Terry and Jane (Brown) Ladendorf, she married Tim LeCrone on May 29, 1999 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Jane Ladendorf of Pekin; two children, Caitlin (Brennen) Begner and Noah LeCrone, both of Pekin; her brother, Toby (Kristy) Ladendorf of Galesburg and her parents-in-law, Richard (Benna) LeCrone of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Robert and Catherine Brown and paternal grandparents, Reva Kimmitt and Herman Ladendorf.

Erin graduated from Truman State University of Kirksville, Missouri with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Working for 18 years for Dr. Swingler in obstetrics and gynecology was the highlight of her career.

She was the recipient of a four-year scholarship from the United States Air Force and was inducted into her high school’s National Honors Society.

Erin was a longtime member of St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley.

She loved everyone she met.

Her visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin with a funeral service immediately following at 6 p.m. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.

Memorial donations may be given to the family to facilitate the scholarship funds of Caitlin and Noah.
