Elmer C Doman

Born September 25, 1949 in Pekin to Elmer Leroy and Freda Mae (Johnson) Doman, he married Ruth Dismang on July 25, 2011 in Tazewell County. She survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Nathan (Kristy) Doman of Pekin, Elmer (Janet) Doman Jr. of Pekin, Bob (Theresa) Penson of Nebraska, Robert (Tina) Decker of Dunlap; four daughters, Julie (Tim) Darling of Idaho, Dawn (Dave) Morey of Pekin, Melissa (Kenneth) Hockaday of Pekin, Tina (Greg) Yeaman of Pekin; one brother, Jack Doman of Pekin; 29 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jessie Lee and Pixie Doman.

He worked at Keystone Steel and Wire for 25 years retiring in 2015.

Elmer enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, guns, camping, and family dinners. He enjoyed horseback riding and his motorcycle. He would often take motorcycle trips, go on poker runs, and camp with his wife. He was known to find enjoyment in anything he was doing. He will be missed by all family and friends who knew him.

A memorial visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Burial will be held at a later date.
