Born November 14, 1932 in Mason City to Harry and Katherine (Stewart) Laumeier, he married Avis A.Sumney on July 2, 1944 in Pekin. She died October 26, 2014. He also was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Dana Laumeier on Setpember 22, 2011; one brother, Harland Laumeier and two sisters, Betty Wiseman and Eleanor Harris.
Surviving are one sister, Marilyn Kay Curtis of Pekin and many nieces and nephews.
He was a United States Marine Corps. Veteran of the Korean War.
Earl retired from Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville in 1990, where he worked in the wire mill.
He was a former member of Pekin Moose Family Center 916 and Pekin Elks Lodge 1271.
His graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. There will be no visitation. Military rites will be accorded by the United States Marine Corps. and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
