Nicholas “Nick” Robinson was born on June 21,1999 at 8:11am in Houston, Texas to the proud parents of Ramona Robinson and Louis Harlan. Nick was christened by Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell at Windsor Village United Methodist Church before the age of one.
Nick received many plaques and awards throughout his life, the first he received as a toddler. While attending Sunshine daycare Nick was awarded “King of Sunshine” due to his mama selling the most World’s Finest Chocolate.
At the age of 2, the family began attending St. John’s United Methodist Church, where Nick began going to the church’s daycare. He grew up under the leadership of then youth pastor Tiffany Tarrant. He was an active member in St. John’s youth ministry: 412. Nick was even a Boy Scout with the church, enduring many character building activities.
He attended Kids Across America - KAA, a Christian sports camp in Branson, MO where he was able to meet people from all around the United States for a week while learning more about the Bible and having fun playing his favorite sports. St. John’s has always been family, a Village that helped raise and guide Nick and lead him to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Nick attended The Rice School/La Escuela Rice after testing into the GT – Gifted and Talented program in the first grade. He then attended Helms Elementary through 5th grade, apart of their Dual Language Program, where he began learning to speak fluent Spanish.
He continued on the dual language tract at Burbank Middle School which is why as an adult, Nick was fluent in Spanish. Amongst the many awards Nick received, he won the Spelling Bee over the entire school and went to the state level competition. Nick was able to celebrate his 13th birthday out of the country, in Australia, with the People to People Student Ambassador Program for almost a month before heading to high school. During those years, Nick would say “Mama, I feel like I am having growing pains”. Before he knew it, Nick shot up to 6’ 3” wearing a size 16 shoe.
Nick attended Reagan High School where he played football - linebacker. Unfortunately, he could not continue his football career due to being diagnosed with scoliosis. At 18, he endured 16 hours of surgery, straightening the 2 curves in his back and resulting in him growing another 2.5 inches, making him 6’ 5 ½ ” in height. He graduated high school May 26, 2017.
Nick got accepted into Wharton County Junior College and attended for one year.
Nick worked various jobs until he found his niche with being an Independent Insurance Adjuster. He found that he liked adjusting property claims over auto claims and was licensed in over 12 states. He was working his way up the ladder, completing Allstate claims for Crawford & Co being considered for a supervisory admin position right before his passing.
He is preceded in death by his first cousins: Brianna Robinson and Jade Robinson, Grandfathers James “Moses X” Robinson and Louis C. Harlan, Sr., Great grandparents – Claude and Stella “Momo” Morrison, Grandmother – Dorrie Sanders, Great Aunt Mercedes “Mam” Morrison.
Nick’s memory will be cherished by his devoted mother, Ramona and loving little big sister, Colby; father, Louis; His sons, Lennox and Harlem; Nephew, Levi; Special Friends: Taylor, Ant, Candance, Gio, Cam and Josh; Grandmothers, Hilda “Mame” Sinclair and Geneva “Miss Gene” Fanuiel and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends

A Final Goodbye Viewing for Nick will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584. Following the final goodbye viewing will be a Celebration of His Life from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Forest Park South Funeral Home, 12650 Shadow Creek Parkway, Pearland, TX 77584. Attire for both services will be Purple and Black.
