Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am, Friday, December 2, 2016, in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at 1:00pm in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Carthage.
Mr. Beers was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, and retired from Eaton Corporation after more than 25 years as a manufacturing engineer. An avid bowler, Mr. Beers played on many leagues throughout the area. His hobbies also included hunting, fishing, and CB and Ham radio.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mamie Beers; sons, Doug Beers, Mark Beers, and Rick Beers; brother, Vernon "Pete" Beers; sister, Pam Treadway; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
