Scottie was a long time resident of Rankin County, having been born at the old Brandon Hospital on September 22, 1964. From an early age Scottie learned the dignity of a job well done and the respect of being true to your word. Throughout his career in plumbing services Scottie took pride in helping his customers, providing them with reliable service.
Like his dedication and great work ethic his family and friends and their welfare was top priority for Scottie. His kind and generous spirit endeared him to many and he was always ready to assist others in need. Scottie truly enjoyed people and found personal value in serving others.
One of Scottie’s favorite hobbies was collecting. What others may have viewing as “junk” could easily be repurposed by Scottie. He was an original “picker” and was renowned for his collection of oddities.
Scottie is survived by his daughter, Heather Fede and husband Bryan; grandchild, Carson James Fede; sister, Renita Case; brother, Jeffery Bruce Pierce; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff Pierce and Wilma Ree Yarbrough Pierce; brother, Roger Pierce; and sister, Sheila Moczygemba.
A Celebration of Life will be held to remember Scottie and honor his life on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
