Visitation will be 12:00-2:00pm, Monday, April 25, 2016, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Robert was born Friday, January 13, 1933, in Magee, Mississippi, a son of the late Mims Turner Bishop and Willie Mae Bishop. He was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church in Thomasville and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Robert retired from Pensky where he worked as a mechanic for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Waters Bishop; four children, Sandra Bishop Dixon, Karen Bishop Salisbury, Robert Bishop, Jr., and Brian Bishop; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Gayle Bishop; and sister, Louise Bishop Cole.
