Visitation will be held from 9:00am-10:00am, Friday, September 27, 2024, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Graveside services will follow at 10:30am at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Chapman was born in Scott County to the late Theron and Mary Lou Wallace. She retired from the U.S. Small Business Administration in March of 1988. She was an active member of Pearson Baptist Church in Pearl having joined in July of 1948. She was a member of the adult choir for more than 40 years and an active member of the Homemakers Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Wiley A. Chapman; brother Tolbert Wallace; sister, Joanie Bridges; and son-in-law, Frank Baker.
She is survived by daughters, Kathy Stewart (Jim), and Cheryl Baker; son, Derek W. Chapman (Margaret); brother, Rusty Wallace; nine grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Strong River Villa and Heart of Hospice for their excellent and loving care. A special heartfelt thanks to Faith, Liz, Sandra, and Gabby.
