She was born January 24, 1927 to Guy and Lyda (Kirkland) Alexander. She was an active member of Alta Woods Baptist Church, serving or many years in the nursery, which was such a joy for her.
Mary Evelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She never met a stranger and was a dear friend to those who knew her. Her positive outlook on life and her wonderful sense of humor were contagious and she lived this way up until she died.
She is survived by her husband, Bryan Holliday; daughters, Linda McNeely (Don), Martha Brand (Marc), and Lisa Daniel (Tom); grandchildren, Katie Vanlandingham (Madison), Bryan Daniel (Ellen), Conner Perkins, Morgan McNeely (Beth), Anthony Daniel, and Matthew Daniel; six great-grandchildren and one more due in April. She is also survived by sister, Nell McWilliams (Alexander); a niece, nephew, and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be 12:00-1:00pm, Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Memorial services will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
