Martha Collum Prince, age 90, of Fannin, MS, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024. Martha was born on May 16, 1934, in Jackson, MS to Minnie Bell and JB Collum. She was an active, fun-loving, hard-working, unique, loving, serving, generous, determined, and spunky individual.
Martha is survived by her children Kim Moore (John), Suzanne Farmer (Grumpy), Kennie Prince (Betty), grandchildren Michael, Kimberly, Melanie, Glenn, Josh, Joni, Jennifer, Cody, Alicia, 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband Kennie, mother Minnie Bell Collum, father J.B. Collum, sisters Bobbie Collum, Jimmie Burnett, twin sister Mary Sanderson, and sister Jean Collum.
Martha dedicated her career as a Bookkeeper and Administrator at Brandon Hospital and as the Manager at Fannin Water Association. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Fannin for over 52 years. She spent hours of her time preparing and teaching Sunday School for many of those years. Her goals in life were to love her God and serve her God, community, and church. Her greatest legacy is how her life impacted eternity.
In her free time, Martha enjoyed writing and sending cards for every occasion with her special friend, Clara who is now deceased, riding horses, spending time with family, cutting grass, and going out to eat. She also loved to travel with her friends and family.
A service to honor and celebrate Martha's life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Fannin at 3:00, with visitation beginning at 1:30. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
