John Alvin Brown

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, June 18, 2020, in the funeral home chapel with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Alvin was a Pearl native. He went to Pearl High School. He worked for Utility Constructors as an operator for 36 years. Alvin loved his family and worked hard to provide for them. He was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing- he did it all, and his greatest joy was taking his kids along with him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Brown; father, Willie Brown; mother, Mary Lou "Scooter" Brown Derrick; stepfather, Ray Derrick; sister, Patsy Brown Walker; brother, David Brown; and niece, Angel Walker Long.

He is survived of his significant other of 19 years, Jennifer McKay; daughters, Jennifer Flores, Brandy Brown, Mandy Brown, and Mary Brown; son, Carter Brown; brother, Bobby Brown (Cynthia); brother, James Brown; sister, Becky Brown Gallagher; grandchildren, Clint Different, Ashley Different, Andrew Brown, John David Vaughn, Jordan Gant, Barry Gant, Israel Lovelace, Alex Bustillo, Jeffrey Wilkins Jr., and Izabel Ambrosio; 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Servings as pallbearers will be Clint Different, Roy Diaz, Derek Brown, Bryant Stingley, Alex Bustillo, George Crow, Jeffrey Wilkins, Jr., John David Vaughn, Andrew Brown, and Zac Shoemaker.

Alvin will be greatly missed by so many.
