Janie Elizabeth White, 70, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2013 from 9am to 12pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 12pm in the funeral home chapel with interment at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Mrs. White was a member of the Old Vicksburg Church for over 30 years. She worked at Baptist Hospital as an LPN for many years and later went back to school and obtained a degree as a Medical Transcriptionist. Mrs. White will be most remembered as someone with a selfless heart who had an extraordinary gift for giving. She was generous, kind, and a mother to all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. White, Jr.; and brother, Donald Ray Way.
She is survived by her son, Charles J. White of Atlanta, GA; brother, Howard Way; sisters, Ruth Claybrook and Paula Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
