James was born on May 6, 1988 and grew up in Pearl, MS. He resided in Pelahatchie, MS with his wife and children.
James was one of those people you don't meet every day. A higher than life character, you could say. Everyone that crossed his path had a special connection with him because he made it special. And that's what set him apart from the rest. He treated everyone the same no matter who you were or what your condition was. He was there to listen and be a shoulder to lean on in hard times and there to laugh with you during the good times.
He was very involved in his children's lives and was at every school function, field trip, and coached the girls soccer team. He was also an outstanding drummer who could really put on a show. He brightened everyone's lives and could light up a room.
He leaves behind wife, Candice; three daughters, Ivanna, Kelly, and Jocelyn. father and stepmother, Michael and Charlotte Pace; mother, Karen Gilmore; grandparents, Jim and Mickie Pace who raised him; great aunts, Sherry Merritt and Delores Partlow; aunt, Sherry Stewart and husband, Paul; sisters, Stephanie Austin and husband, Robbie; and Amber Mohon; nieces, Teagan, Mackinley, Ryleigh, Aubrey, and Madelyn; nephew, Corbin; mother in law, Janice Walker; sisters-in-law, Natasha Childers and husband, Lance, and Nikki Walker; and many, many friends.
