June was born on June 1, 1936 in Magee, Mississippi to the late Robert Mason and Velma Henderson Mason. She was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church near Byram and retired from Hinds General Hospital, since renamed to Central Mississippi Medical Center, and presently known as Merit Health Central Hospital. June was also part of the Red Hat Society and known to start every single day, without fail, by having a cup of coffee before anything else. In her free time, she enjoyed reading books, especially romance novels by Nora Roberts as well as murder mysteries. Most importantly, June loved spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, preceding her in death are her husband, Herbert W. Grubbs and her daughter, Carmen Grubbs.
Survivors include daughters, Karen McWilliams (Tony) and Gail Strength; sisters, Ann Walker and Idasue White; grandchildren, Aaron Yoakum (Alicia), Nick McWilliams, Shelby Wise (Nason), and Rachel Grubbs; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Aubrey, Ace, Carlie, Paisley, and Abigail; and a host of other beloved extended family members and friends.
June will be so dearly missed.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.baldwinleepearl.com for the Grubbs family.
