Visitation will be held from 5pm - 8pm Friday, January 8, 2016 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Florence City Cemetery.
Mrs. Nelson’s hobbies included fishing and tending her beautiful flowers. Most precious to her heart were children. A loving, Christian wife and mother, she was devoted to her beloved son, Kenny, and his care. Her family was her greatest joy and her daily devotionals and meditations were focused on her love for Christ and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolphus Eugene and Ruth McRee Neal; son, Kenny Nelson; and grandsons, Ricky, Greg, and Chris Nelson.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Merle Nelson, Sr.; sons, Richard Wayne Nelson, Gregory Lane Nelson, and Merle Nelson, Jr. and wife Kathy; 8 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
