Betty Jean Bounds

Betty Jean Bounds, 79, of Florence, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2020. Betty was born in Utica, Mississippi on August 5, 1940 to Sara and Ansley Somers. She attended Terry High School.

Betty married Martin Bounds in 1958. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and doll collecting. She was a full time homemaker and much cherished wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Martin; daughter, Sara; son-in-law, Lawson; granddaughters, Toni, Rachel, and Shelby; and one great granddaughter, Raylee James. She is also survived by her brother, Tom; sister, Mary Frances; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, James; daughter-in-law, Terresa; her parents; brothers, R.K., Roy, George, and Paul; and sisters, Cora and Ann.

Funeral services will be held at Baldwin Lee on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 am. Visitation for Betty Jean Bounds will be held at Baldwin Lee on February 1, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00.
