Roy David Hudson, age 73, of Peachtree City, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was born in Oklahoma on February 4, 1951 in a farmhouse in Broken Arrow to the late Roy Calvin Hudson and Doris Mattison Hudson. His Aunt Nancy helped deliver him and weighed him on old chicken scales. He was the youngest of eight children.
David graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1973 with a bachelor's degree. He worked with the US Treasury Department, as a Large Project Manager, with the IRS. He was a member of AICPA (American Institute of CPAs) the world's largest member association representing the accounting profession. He was also a Christian man who loved his family very much.
David is survived by his wife, of 51 years, Laurie Harris Hudson; brother, Calvin Hudson; sister, Marcella Brooks of Oklahoma; daughters, Sara Braden (Scott) of Rockwall Texas; and Jessica Lindsay (Jason) of Belgrade Maine; son, Matthew Hudson (Jessica) of Peachtree City, Georgia; grandsons, Jacob Larison (Sage) and Gage Hudson; granddaughter, Elisabeth Lindsay; and great-grandson, Rowen Larison.
