He served his country in the Royal Air Force during World War II. Most of his working career was spent in the Petrochemical industry where he was a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, designing oil refineries and managing large oil and gas engineering projects throughout the world, living and working in Brazil, Bangladesh, Portugal, France, UK and USA.
His hobbies included traveling, fly fishing in Ireland, Russia, New Zealand and Alaska; building 18th century model ships and reading historical books. His biggest pleasure was being able to see his three grand children grow up when he moved to Peachtree City.
Survived by daughter Jane Higgins and John Higgins, grandchildren John W. Higgins, Andrew J. Higgins and Emily J. Higgins. Preceeded in death by wife June Yvonne Marrion and brothers Dennis Marrion and Arthur Marrion.
A Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
