Robert Franklin Reeves passed peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of May 28th, 2022 (Memorial Day Weekend) after a hard battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy. Affectionately known as Bobby, he was born on November 11, 1940 (Veterans Day). After attending Georgia Tech, serving in the Navy, and then ultimately being accepted into Kings Point Merchant Marines Academy, he graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Bobby started in the role of Assistant Chief Engineer at Grady Memorial Hospital while he continued his education and earned his Masters in Business at Georgia State University. Evidently, doing everything in his power to avoid the University of Georgia.
In May, 1967, Bobby met the love of his life, Becky Webb. "A Webb in the right place can catch anything" ~Mr Reeves circa 1987. On August 20, 1967 they were married and started their life together. Becky and Bobby have been happily married ever since. Bobby enjoyed living life to its fullest and he found the perfect woman to share his dreams. A man filled with love, family, friends, and laughter. He enjoyed skiing, swimming, sailing and even flying his Cessna airplane, there was never a lackluster moment when Bobby was around. He left a legacy not soon to be forgotten. To know him is to love him and to know him is a privilege.
He is survived by: his beautiful wife, his sweet daughters Kim and Julie and husbands John Nicholson and Dustin Davidson, Daughter-in-law Susan Reeves and their children : Cole and Ashton Davidson, Trevor Fulenwider, Olivia Escobar, and Abbie Reeves and his beloved late and now reunited son, Todd Reeves.
Let us unite in this moment to celebrate the life of a remarkable man not soon forgotten. He shall remain a father, husband, friend, role model, and a straight up good ole southern gentleman who will be loved and cherished every day. Thank you for your continued thoughts and well wishes.
The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:00 on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, 30269. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Dan Hale officiating.
