She was an avid vegetable and flower gardener, a devout Christian, and a lifelong member of Henderson Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and friends.
An eternal optimist, Marjorie lived by the words of one of her favorite poems, which she often recited: "I know something good about you!"
Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Malcolm D. Tignor; and by her parents.
Marjorie is survived by her three children, Todd, Mac, and Jeff; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Jack Dawson; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service for Marjorie is planned at 2:00pm, January 6, 2025, at the Palmetto Park Retirement Home, 519 Perkins Road, Palmetto, GA 30268.
In lieu of flowers, please consider tributing to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association, in her memory.
