Estella Marie Echols, age 61, of Peachtree City, GA passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born in St. Louis, MO to Theophilus Echols and Geneva Leach Echols. Estella dedicated 22 years and 10 days of service to our country in the United States Army where she retired as a Psychiatric Specialist-Sergeant First Class in the US Army. She was a loving and devoted mother and her compassion was endless. She touched the lives of many and always gave more than she received. The only thing that could surpass all of that is her ability to love unconditionally. She is survived by her three children, Ada Marie Echols (Yelida Nunez), Geneva Echols (Bobby), and Theo Echols (Katelyn); mothers, Lovie Marie Haynes and Canarie Justine Gray; brothers, David Lee Cook and John Edward Cook; sisters, Patricia Ann Cook, Glenda Joyce Haynes, Debra Lee Cook-Rowe, and Martha Renee Cooper; one granddaughter, TaiShawn A. Echols-Sands; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends, and her beloved pets. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 11:00 am with full military honors.
