Gerald Wayne Johnston

Gerald Wayne Johnston, 79, of Carroll, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Pickering House in Lancaster. Wayne was born on October 22, 1944 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late John and Louise Johnston. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and National Guard. Wayne was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed taking his muscle cars to automotive shows, and was an avid toy tractor and train collector. He is survived by his beloved children, Lon (Krystal) Johnston, Ron (Judi) Johnston, and Lisa (Nolan) Terkeurst; grandchildren, Kyle Johnston, Ally Johnston, Ryan Johnston, and Noah Terkeurst; sisters, Janice Droke and Marilyn Dewitt; nieces, Sherry Herman, Louise O’Donnell, and Maegan Herman; nephew, Jeremy Herman; and a host other family, friends, and loved ones. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. A funeral service is to immediately follow beginning at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Mike Rector officiating. Wayne will be laid to rest following the service at Poplar Fork Cemetery in Gratiot, Ohio.
