David Noel Phillips

David N. (Dave) Phillips passed away at his home on July 6, 2024, following a several year period of declining health and complications of pneumonia and a fall in his home in early June. Born July 28, 1939 on a farm in Gahanna, Ohio. "Farmer" from his beginning to his end. Never knowing when to quit. Big hearted, proud of his family and his farm. He dairy farmed, crop farmed, raised & traded and hauled livestock, operated a horse boarding business, and enjoyed many years of owning his prized 4 hitch team of Percheron draft horses. His memory and the example he set of a life well-lived will live on in the lives of his family. Preceded in death by his parents, William & Opal (Harris) Phillips, Wife Peggy (Acker) Phillips, Son Dennis N. Phillips, four sisters & their husbands. Dave, or "Poppy" as he became known by so many, is survived by his daughter & son-in-law with whom he lived for the past 10 years, Sherry & Michael Lewis. His son & daughter-in-law Daniel & Angela Phillips. Grandchildren Miranda (Jeremy) Vanscoy, Andrea (Tom Kotas) Lewis, Kyle (Savannah) Lewis. Chance Phillips & Lane Phillips. Deni (Eric Nicholas) Phillips. Great-Grandchildren Gracelyn & Noelle Vanscoy, Senena & Georgia Lewis, Cora Phillips. Dear friend Patrick (Jody) Fleming, Dear nephew Bill (Lori) Hewitt, & many Nieces & Nephews & Friends far and wide. A visitation for Dave will be held Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main Street, Pataskala, Ohio 43062. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, with Tim Bowie officiating. Burial is to follow at Pataskala Cemetery.
