Carolyn Kay Richards, 79, of Etna, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Tuscany Gardens. She was born on December 2, 1940 in Buckeye Lake, OH, a daughter to the late Reuben and Florence (Stroup) Brunner. Carolyn was employed with Denison University at Curtis Dining Hall for 41 years. She is survived by her children, Diane (Raymond Bell) Simmons, Debbie (Bob) Rutherford and Virgil Richards; grandchildren, Jessica (Bret) Hartshorn, Gina (Daniel) Mathers, Robert Liggett, Teresa (Erica) Richards, Savannah (Steve) Jones, Russell (Kara Henley) Richards and Rachel Richards; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Hursey of FL and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Richards and sisters, Jeannie (Paul) Parks, Ann Thacker and Nancy (Gordon) Irwin. Honoring Carolyn’s wishes there will be no services. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria, OH.
