Janet Gail Bartlett was born in Burlingame, CA April 5, 1943 to Bob and Shirley Eldridge. She lost her two year fight to cancer on July 12, 2016. JG grew up in Burlingame and Menlo Park then off to UCSB where she graduated in 1965. She and her first husband, Don Gaynor, lived and raised their two children in Souther California. JG worked as a para-educator while her children were in school. She then worked as an Administrative Assistant in a doctor's office for ten years.
Janet, JG, retired to Paso Robles in 1999. She loved to hike, travel, garden, and sew. JG was a very giving and loving person. She spent many hours caregiving and helping others. She laughed often and brought great joy to everyone around her.
Janet and her husband, jim, were married in 2013. They spent their time traveling, dancing, visiting with family, walking, and living a very healthy life-style. She is survived by her husband, Jim Bartlett; daughter, Erin Gaynor, of Vancouver, BC; son, Howard Gaynor, of Santa Barbara, CA; sister, Myrna Erickson (Ted) of Castro Valley, CA; Aunt Janet McVita (Bill) of Upland, CA; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's name to Hospice of San Luis Obispo County. Arrangements are under the direction of Kuehl-Nicolay of Paso Robles.
