It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roberta Christ Beinstingel, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the age of 82. Roberta was born on October 2, 1942, in Alvin, Texas, to Conrad Jacob Christ and Tessie Morene Paris Christ.
Her life, spanning over eight decades, was marked by love, resilience, and an unwavering faith in Jesus that touched everyone she met. Roberta's journey through life was defined by her deep commitment to her family. She married the love of her life, Carl Beinstingel, Sr., on June 2, 1957, in South Houston, Texas, and together they shared 47 beautiful years of marriage. Roberta was a devoted mother to her three children: Veronica Beinstingel Stroud, who is married to Jeff Stroud, Carl Beinstingel, Jr., Conrad Beinstingel, and her added 3rd son, Paul Soto. Her love extended beyond her children to her twelve cherished grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. She also leaves her brothers Albert James Christ, who is married to Donna, and Johnie Eugene Christ; along with numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Roberta's family was her pride and joy. She celebrated their accomplishments and provided unwavering support, often expressing that her greatest achievement was being a mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Sr; her granddaughter Samantha Amber-Kay Collins; her grandson Corey James Beinstingel; her father Conrad Jacob Christ; her mother Tessie Morene Paris Christ Coker; her stepfather Raymond Coker; her brothers Robert Gerald Christ and Conrad Franklin Christ; and her dearest and closest friend, Billie Kroll. Their memories lived on in her heart, and she carried their legacies with her throughout her life.
Professionally, Roberta dedicated many years to the State of Texas, culminating in her retirement. Even after stepping away from her primary career, she found joy and fulfillment in her retirement job at the San Jacinto Monument, a position she held until 2021. Her colleagues and visitors alike were enchanted by her warmth and enthusiasm, qualities that made her a cherished member of the San Jacinto community.
Roberta’s life was one of service, love, and joy. She found beauty in the simple moments and cherished the time spent with family, friends, and the community. Her loving presence would fill the rooms, and her kindness knew no bounds. She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special, and her generous spirit will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.
