Nelda West

Nelda was born to the late Johnnie and Neelaine Glover in Jacksonville, TX on October 10, 1946. She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, sister, friend and avid gardener. She is survived by her husband of Don West, daughter Teri Paris (husband Kevin), and grand-kids: Johnathan, Elyssa, and Annalise; sister Elaine Horne, and brothers Joe (wife Paulette), Nolan (wife Mickey), Wayne (wife Terri) Glover and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Neelaine.

Nelda loved doing many things, among her favorites were: sewing and especially gardening. She loved making blankets and things for her grand-kids. She also loved working in the yard, planting flowers and making her yard the most beautiful on the block.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Porter, 24570 FM 1314, Porter, TX 77365. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Porter. Interment will follow at 12:45 p.m. at Rosewood Cemetery, 22271 Highway 59 North, Porter, TX 77365.
