He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 9, 1946 to Myrl Fletcher Sr. and Ruby Cole. He was married to Sandra Fletcher for 56 years. Myrl had a career as an asbestos Insulator for Local 22 Asbestos Union.
He was a member of the US Army, as well as the Shriners, Masons and the American Legion.
He had a passion for spending time with his wife, kids and numerous grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Sandra Fletcher, sister; Beverly Grissom, and parents; Ruby Cole and Myrl Fletcher Sr., and Leona Fletcher
He is survived by his son; William T. Fletcher, Daughter; Patricia Evans, grandson; Justin Speights and granddaughter; Brittany Speights, numerous nieces and nephews, 4 great-grandchildren, and sisters; Cindy Culbreth, Ellen Knighton, Charlotte Simpson, and Gayelynn Sparks. A visitation for Myrl will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
