Marian Joan Johnson went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 18, 2018 at the age of 95. She was born in Humboldt, Kansas on March 13, 1923. She was preceded in death by her parents Clara and Frank Lindsay, her husband of 65 years Sidney P. Johnson, sisters Blanche Lindsay, Mabel Drake, Carol Chambers, sons-in-law Tommy Baker and Bryon Gammage.
She is survived by her sister Joyce Underhill, daughters Jill Baker, Jean Gammage, grandchildren Jennifer Osburn, Angela Broyles, Stephanie Cargill, Lindsay Rutan, and CJ Baker, great-grandchildren Madison, Austin, and Max Broyles, Caitlyn and Sophie Cargill, Ben and Emily Osburn, Morgan and Jack Rutan, and nieces Lori Gilliard, Deborah Sinclair, and Lisa Moore.
Joan was member of the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena for over 50 years. She had an associates degree in education but was mainly a dedicated volunteer throughout her life. Always active she was an avid bridge player, loved to cook, play piano and spend time with friends and family.
She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Sidney at Mt. Hope Cemetery in their birthplace of Humboldt, Kansas.
