Maria S. Tamayo, 90 of Pasadena, Texas was born October 26, 1930 to Lorenzo and Carmen Flores and passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. She was one of 9 children born and she was the mother of 9 children of her own. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family. They would get together every Sunday for one of those great meals and family time. She also enjoyed taking walks in the park and attending church at San Juan or St. Augustine Catholic Churches.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Carmen (Leon) Flores; and her husband of 27 years, Miguel Tamayo along with her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Miguel Tamayo and wife, Sherry; Carmen Ortega and husband, Raul; Jose Tamayo and wife, Sylvia; Bonifacio Tamayo and wife, Rosa; Lorenzo Tamayo and wife, Julia; Jesus Tamayo and wife, Renee; Luis Tamayo and wife, Adriana; Rosa Moon and husband, Allen and Ramon Tamayo and wife, Aqueda. Maria is blessed with 39 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Guadalupe Lopez along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
