Margaret was born on July 27, 1924 in Kerens, Texas to Robert and Beatrice Wilson. In 1942, she and her husband George Kimes moved to Pasadena.
She worked in the finishing room for Magnolia and Champion Paper-Mills then worked for Continental EMSCO running the mailroom while raising their three children.
George passed unexpectedly in 1974 and she later married Leon Garrett. Nothing made Margaret happier than spending time with her family.
She enjoyed cooking and having all her family over for a fabulous meal and lots of laughter. The holidays will never be the same without her smile and boundless love for her family.
Margaret is survived by her children: George Kimes, Patricia Sellers, and Brenda Gallagher. Grandchildren: Kirk Sellers, Tammy Mire, Shannon Seymour, Shawn Gallagher, Elisa Garber, and Niki Patterson. As well as nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation for Margaret will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Monday, January 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grand View Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
