Lenora Johnson, 85, of Pasadena, TX passed away peacefully on January 29, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was born to Nettie Lucille Reed and Wilmer C. Haney in LaRue, Henderson County, Texas on July 1, 1932. During her lifetime she was a loving wife and mother. After her retirement from Macy’s credit department in 1999, she volunteered at St. Pius V Catholic Church where she eventually took responsibility of their food bank until failing health caused her to step aside. She is preceded in death by her parents and son Michael Blackwood. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, O.W. Johnson Jr., brother, Tony Haney of Tomball, TX, daughters: Ann Bowers of Deer Park, TX; Peggy Spurck of Ennis, TX; Sandra Swonke (Larry) of Centerville, TX; Kathy Johnson of Pasadena and Galveston, TX; her grandchildren, Louann Taylor, Eric Bowers, Aaron Bowers, Nori Rhodes, Greg Swonke, Tim Swonke, Gary Spurck Jr., Sara Clayton, Kelly Handrick , Christopher Swonke, Daniel Swonke, Melissa Swonke, Kara Wells and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:00 am at Grand View Funeral home.

The family of Lenora Johnson wish to thank the Baywood Crossing Nursing Home for the care she was given during this last year of her life. A special thanks to the caregivers from Resolutions Hospice for the caring comfort they gave to her during her final days.
