Laura Mary (Sonnier) Webb

1942-2020

Celebrating the life of Laura Mary (Sonnier) Webb, born on July 15, 1942 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Her parents were Allen Joseph Sonnier and Marie Bernice LaBlance Sonnier. She attended and graduated from Biloxi High School in 1961. After graduation she began a career as a housekeeper. Laura retired in 2016 after 30 plus years. After retirement Laura dedicated herself to taking care of her family.

Laura lived in many different cities over the years, including Biloxi, Mississippi, Pasadena, Texas, Crosby, Texas, Sulphur, Louisiana, and Lake Charles, Louisiana. In 1964 Laura married Wade Forest Webb and they were happily married until his passing in 2008. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Deer Park for many years. Laura was a woman of extraordinarily strong religious beliefs and convictions throughout her entire life. She had many close friends over the years that shared her beliefs, like Yvonne Chassion and Theresa Mathis.

Through the years there were many important life events for Laura like marriage, the birth of her son Darrell, the births of her grandchildren Brandon and Shelbi, and most recently the birth of her great-grandson Jeyson. Laura enjoyed many things in life like cooking (amazing cook), yard work, cultivating plants and flowers, gospel and old country music. However, her main passion in life was the love she had for her family.

Laura would appreciate the fact that her loved ones will be remembering her in a celebratory and reflective way. Enjoying sharing memories and good times... enjoying spending time sharing just like Laura would have wanted. Love your family and friends like Laura love you and take care of each other like Laura would want you to.

Laura is preceded in death by her husband Wade Forest Webb; her parents Allen J. and Marie Bernice LaBlance Sonnier; brother Allen A. "Pete" Sonnier; and step son Terry Lyn Webb.

Those left to carry forward her love and kindness are her son Darrell Wade Webb and wife Leighan; grandson Brandon Michael Webb; granddaughter Shelbi Lyn Webb; step-grandson Terry Steven Webb and wife Robin; great grandchildren Jeyson Dean, Bailey Webb, and Cameron Webb; brothers and sisters and their families: Joan Woody (Lake Charles, LA), Amie Woody Crochet (Ryan Cryer), Amanda Woody (Ariel Shawa); Rose Quebodeaux (Sulphur, LA), Mark Quebodeaux and wife Libby Quebodeaux and children Kayla, Candice and Brent, Matt Quebodeaux; Tom Sonnier and wife Linda (Nashville, TN), Cora Sonnier and son Ian, John Sonnier and wife Michelle and children Tabitha, Chloe, and Parish, George Sonnier (Lake Charles, LA), Heather Brousard and husband Rusty and children Jacob, Travis, Lora, Paul Sonnier and wife Allison and child Drew; Patricia Greenlee and husband Michael, Sr. (Lake Charles, LA), Andrea Rainer and husband Chris and children Gabrielle, Wyatt, Bradley, Caroline, and Asher, Michael "Bubba" Greenlee, Jr., Melanie Dupuis and husband Greg and children Tessa, Andrew, and DD; Roy "Punkin" Sonnier (Lake Charles, LA), Sarah Sonnier and children Donovan, Erin, Caleb, and Richie, Bonnie Sonnier; Mary "Teenie" May (Lake Charles, LA), Eric May and wife Shanna and child Kaitlyn; Alice Lockhart and husband Dwight (Sulphur, LA), Freddy Humphrie and wife Jill and children Celeste and Kaitlyn, Dwayne Humphrie and children Saylan, Landon, Julian, and Devia, Daniel Humphrie and wife Megan; Liz Trahan (Coy) (Vinton, LA), Brandy and two sons, and Anthony and two daughters and one son.
