Our dear mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and cousin, Kathryn (Kathy) Lankford at the age of 64, went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2021. She was surrounded by all of her loved ones. Kathy was born on March 11, 1957 in Houston, Texas, to parents William and Florean Marshall. Kathy married the love of her life, Joseph Lankford on April 4, 1979. Joseph recently went to be with our Lord on March 28, 2021. Kathy will be remembered as having a heart of hospitality. Her home was always opened to any and everyone. She would be known to stir up a skillet of tomato or milk gravy to enjoy over hot biscuits if you asked. Her banana pudding was desired by all, as well! Her loving and caring spirit will be missed by all.
Kathy is survived by her daughters Amy McVeigh and husband James, Lorie Cox and husband Randy, Lindsey Rodriguez and husband Tim, Katy Jo and husband Zach Coldwell; 12 grandchildren Joseph and Clair McVeigh, Mason and Hunter (Boogie) Cox, Shawn, Lane, Bentley and Grayson Rodriguez, Maci Jo, Kaci Mae, Laci Jean and Graci Bell Coldwell; her brother and sister James Marshall and wife Karen and Billie Marshall Aliu and husband Ali, her aunt Imogene Ramsey and many fun and loving cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Kathy is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lankford, parents William and Florean Marshall, and grandparents Hoyston and Argia Hooper.
